Kriskadecor Marks 100 Years of Chain-Link Innovation

Talk about an incredible chain of events: In 1926, Kriskadecor founder Josep Maria Sans Amill invented a machine that could automatically link metal chains. Soon after, a bakery owner in his hometown complained of flies entering the shop during the summer, when the door was left open. Thus, the first iron-chain curtains were born. Over the years, iron was replaced with aluminum, anodized color finishes and patterns were added, and the product line expanded to fit interior and architectural projects. Now observing its centennial, the company based out of Montblanc, Spain, and Miami continues to innovate with its custom offerings, which range from room dividers to outdoor cladding.
