Joining forces with design firm Gensler, textile specialist Carnegie translates the strength, durability, and boldness of modern athletic apparel into an equally energetic upholstery fabric collection. A yearlong development process between Gensler design principal Lee Pasteris and Carnegie executive vice president of creative Mary Holt culminated in PFRM, a shortcut for perform—the premise for the seven patterns. Pivot and Flex, both polyester, resemble high-performance fibers used in sneakers. Two Sunbrella acrylic-polyester blends, Triad and Triad Stripe, are inspired by leggings. Stride marshals a mélange of wool, nylon, polyester, and elastane to demonstrate advanced knit technologies.
