Design on the High Seas: J’Ade
Studio Zuccon International Project designed the interior of 200-foot J’Ade, in collaboration with CRN. Besides being the first CRN vessel with a floodable garage integrated in the lounge area of the “beach club”, special features in J’Ade include full-height windows in the upper salon, offering a wide panoramic view and the sensation of water proximity, and an audio-video entertainment system with water, salt and weather-proof televisions throughout.
“We choose the materials based on our expertise, our previous experiences and of course the owner’s requests,” says Gianni Zuccon. “Working so closely with the owners and architects allows us to have a level of flexibility that translates into absolute customization. If and when we’re facing some more unusual requests concerning special materials, we investigate all options and assess the feasibility.”
The owner’s suite has a balcony, furniture clad with white-silver nuance coconut leather by Fendi Club House Italia, a silk carpet and textiles and curtains made of cashmere by Loro Piana. The suite’s Afyon and Emperador dark marble bathroom includes an anti-steam mirror concealing a television, customized petal shaped washbasins, and an oval bathtub by Boffi.
Elsewhere, Canaletto walnut and polished rosewood are prevalent. J’Ade’s hardwood floors are made of wide Afromosia strips and white Tai Ping fitted carpets. Not surprisingly (if you paid attention to the name) the color jade can be found in varying shades throughout the yacht.
