Piero Lissoni’s Combine Kitchen Island System for Boffi Upends Convention
Kitchen islands break free from convention with Combine, a Boffi system by Interior Design Hall of Fame member Piero Lissoni. “It’s like a multifaceted game with simple elements,” he explains of the three block-shape units made for preparation, cooking, and washing. The game part comes in how the units can be arranged, whether in a line, at 90-degree angles, or even a zigzag formation. Up-down mechanisms disappear sink fittings into the worktop, available in stainless steel or Carrara marble. Optional additions include extendable dining tables topped in any one of the company’s range of wood veneers, cutting boards, and trays.
