Sunbrella and LINK Team Up to Create a Collection of Luxury Performance Rugs

The simple pleasure of slipping into a soft pair of socks is tough to match. With 250 knots per square inch, however, outdoor furnishing manufacturer LINK’s new Luxury Performance Rug collection brings a plush sensation underfoot, in any room. In partnership with Sunbrella, a leading performance textile producer, solution dyed acrylic Sunbrella yarns—fine as silk—are used to create the densest, finest weave structure for rugs.

Engineered to perform in extreme conditions, including desert heat and low country humidity, LINK Luxury Performance Rugs are mildew-proof and easy to clean. Sunbrella’s proprietary technology also ensures the rugs are fade- and stain-resistant, inspiring the design team at LINK to create a variety of hues, including a series of whites, to give designers an opportunity to play with atypical palettes for indoor-outdoor rugs.

With more than a dozen color options, ranging from vibrant bold hues to neutral grey tones, designers have the ability to customize size, colorways, scale stripes and borders. Each rug is handwoven in the Himalayas by traditional master-weavers, resulting in a textile with the rich tactility of silk and wool. The simple maintenance is an added benefit, ensuring each rug in the collection looks as vibrant as it did on day one—and remains just as soft underfoot.
