The Ocean Informs Ghislaine Viñas’s First Fabric Line for HBF Textiles

Captain Bubble, Sir Stripe-A-Lot, and Ms. Quilty by Ghislaine Viñas for HBF Textiles.

“For me, the ocean is nirvana,” says Ghislaine Viñas. Now, the designer’s first fabric line for HBF Textiles comes ashore. Called Curious Crowd, the six patterns in vivid colors have playful names like Captain Bubble, a woven jacquard in cotton and rayon. An entire school of jellyfish informed Madam Dottie, a fine-denier, solution-dyed nylon with matte polyester. Entangled tentacles mark Sir Stripe-A-Lot, a take on the cabana stripe in Sunbrella acrylic and solution-dyed polyester. Mollusks wade into the mix in Sister Solid, a bumpy blend of polyester and solution-dyed acrylic, and Ms. Quilty, its oval layers in Sunbrella acrylic.
