In an earth-toned palette inspired by Scandinavian forests, Baux ‘s Acoustic Panels by Form Us with Love , composed of spruce shavings and cement, bring the quiet of nature indoors. In Paul Simmons and Alistair McAuley’s Darwin for Clé , insectile forms suggested by scientific illustrations are hand lithographed onto 12-inch-square tiles of marble or limestone, in a choice of eight patterns. Depictions of Japanese landscapes inspired the Sakura collection by Fireclay Tile , a collaboration with California-based ceramist Susanne Redfield. The clay-body tiles, hand painted in Monterey County using lead-free glazes, come in neutral, white, and green colorways.
