In a move to create one of the world’s leading hospitality design firms,
BBG-BBGM
’s offices in New York and Shanghai have joined
HOK
. With locations across three continents, HOK is a global design, architecture, engineering, and planning firm with nearly 60 years of experience. Combining its own hospitality expertise with BBG-BBGM’s focus on luxury hotels and resorts will help make HOK a key player in the hospitality design industry moving forward.
One of the key benefits of BBG-BBGM joining HOK is the ability for its new employees from New York and Shanghai to use their talents on a more global scale. “For HOK, our enhanced joint portfolio elevates the firm to a major force within the hospitality industry,” says Julia Monk, director of hospitality interiors for HOK’s Shanghai office. “We are looking forward to approaching future endeavors as a unified team, which will bring tremendous value to all of our clients.
She continues by adding, “We see great opportunities for a broader geographic reach, as well as the chance to work in new markets. We are expanding our ability to serve existing clients with new and enhanced services. HOK’s expanded hospitality leadership has already resulted in inquiries about hospitality projects from established clients in the aviation and healthcare sectors.”
Current projects on tap include the Mandarin Oriental New York and Al Faisaliah Rosewood Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
“We’re also proud to be working on the largest new-build hotel project in the United States today, the Marriot Marquis in Washington, D.C., which will open this spring,” says Christina Hart, director of hospitality interiors, for HOK’s New York office.
