Designers And Manufacturers Convene In Sonoma For Hospitality Giants

Back by popular demand, Interior Design celebrated the return of its Hospitality Giants event October 25-27, 2026, at Appellation Healdsburg in the heart of Sonoma, California. Last hosted in 2019, the event brought together an intimate group of designers and manufacturers for three action-packed days of connection, community, and creative renewal.

As attendees settled into the property, which centers food from an on-site chef’s garden and drinks from the area’s neighboring wineries, they were treated to cocktails and tours with representatives from Appellation Healdsburg and EDG Design, which envisioned the space working closely with Appellation co-founders, renowned chef Charlie Palmer and longtime Four Seasons veteran Christopher Hunsberger. Taking advantage of the property’s sweeping views, day one concluded with dinner al fresco, under the stars.

The following day, guests enjoyed a tour of Robert Mondavi Winery, which recently underwent an extensive renovation by Aidlin Darling Design and BAMO—who toured the group through the property—elevating the storied setting into a design-forward destination. While there, Hospitality Giants attendees enjoyed a curated wine tasting and lunch. Of course, a hospitality escape wouldn’t be complete without time to explore the area. The afternoon’s activities included a private reception at St. Helena, shopping in Healdsburg, and an origami workshop with the artist who is currently in residency at the hotel property. Later in the day, attendees convened for a special meal joined by Palmer. Who better to talk to about hospitality than one of the top entrepreneurs in the business?

Before Hospitality Giants came to a close, on day three, guests were treated to hands-on workshops, which encouraged the group to do what they do best: experiment with materials. From terrarium-making to collaging, designers and manufacturers had plenty of opportunities to think outside the box and make new connections before saying farewell—at least, for now—to Appellation Headlsburg and Sonoma.
