Introducing

Chip It!

Now with just the click of a button, any online image can turn into a palette of paint colors, with

Chip It!

, a new interactive tool from Sherwin-Williams. The first-of-its-kind web-based app allows users to select any online image and instantly identify the Sherwin-Williams paint colors that correspond to the colors contained within the picture. Designers can now use the colors that inspire them while surfing the Internet and turn them into paint palettes for any project.

To get started, just create a profile at

letschipit.com

and then add the ”

Chip It!

” bookmarklet to your Internet browser toolbar. This bookmarklet allows you to identify up to ten Sherwin-Williams paint colors represented in online photos simply by scrolling over the image. From there, you can add the photo and corresponding color palette to a

Chip It!

profile, save it, share the creation socially or print it out.

2012 keeps it in the family

The Sherwin-Williams

colormix 2012

forecast proves a color palette doesn’t need to stray far from its roots to make a big impact. Whether drawn to the intensity of red or to the balance neutrals offer, design professionals can experiment with the colors they love and find a natural complement within the same color family.

Colormix 2012 features 40 hues that stay close to home with earth-inspired, color family groupings: Reds, Blues, Neutrals and Greens

.

It also features the Sherwin-Williams Color of the Year: Argyle, one of the hues featured in the Green grouping.
