Daniela Saliba Adds Industrial and Cozy Touches to a Florida Apartment

Timelines always provide major constraints. For Daniela Saliba Interiors, designing an apartment in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was no exception. “To finish it all before the family moved in from Brazil was a challenge,” principal Daniela Saliba says. Adding to that, the building’s elevator was too small for the job and most materials had to be lifted by crane.

The layout changed from the original. Walls came down to allow direct entry from the elevator to the apartment, the master bedroom’s door was relocated to improve flow, and a powder room was inserted. But the result, cozy with industrial touches, doesn’t reveal any of that struggle. Custom woodwork, rusted metal, leather, and brick work together to form a comfortable and inviting home.
