Patricia Urquiola Expands Her Mesh Seating Family for Kettal
Hold the boat: Interior Design Hall of Fame member Patricia Urquiola has two new arrivals waiting on the gangplank to join her Mesh family of seating for Kettal. The daybed and chaise lounge feature expanded-aluminum-mesh backs (available in 30 colors of powder-coat) that sit atop teak bases. The combination yields a mix of “transparent and opaque volumes, natural and industrial materials, and hard and soft surfaces,” Urquiola says. Cushions upholstered in Doshi Levien’s Terrain line of solution-dyed acrylic are supplemented with jacquard-woven decorative pillows from the firm’s Geometrics family.
