Play’s the Thing: Architects Add Fun to 7 Global Schools

Interior Design rounded up seven international schools, each with a healthy dose of fun courtesy of an impressive roster of architects. Gracing the July issue’s cover, an oak-plank roof becomes a playground for high school students at Bjarke Ingels Group‘s Gammel Hellerup Gymnasium in Denmark. R2K Architects also uses planks, this time in larch, to make a quiet contrast to the colorful paint of steel louvers and abstract murals at a preschool and elementary school in France.
