Shaw Contract Evolves Inside Shapes Collection

When Shaw Contract and the Swedish design firm Form Us With Love revealed their carpet tile collaboration, Inside Shapes, it was the talk of NeoCon 2018. The jigsaw-like collection,  comprised of four distinct geometric shapes — square, diagonal, point, and curve — and 12 on-trend color options, transforms the typical 24”x24” carpet tile into a canvas for creative expression. The pieces may fit together snuggly like a jigsaw, but the final look is by no means preordained by the manufacturer. Indeed, the whole premise of Inside Shapes is to offer designers an unbelievably vast set of carpet tile permutations that ultimately result in a flooring plan that is dynamic, quirky, and cohesive.

For 2019, Shaw Contract has elaborated on the original premise of Inside Shapes with a digital toolkit. The Inside Shapes Design Tool allows specifiers to visualize all of the possibilities available to them. Beginning with a blank canvas, designers have free range to create compelling designs that expression a client’s particular vision or communicate an emotional energy for all types of commercial and contract spaces. The Design Tool also offers “idea starter” layouts that can be built off of or rearranged to suit specific project needs.
