Taking It All In: 2012’s Most Breathtaking Images

The January 2013 issue of Interior Design gathers 57 breathtaking images of art, design, interiors and architecture under the umbrella of “Taking It All In”—the moniker the magazine’s editors lent this year’s rendition of the annual photo essay extravaganza. After scouring last year’s bounty of exhibits, projects, and installations from across the globe, the magazine collected hundreds of images and packed its favorites into 42 printed pages. Included are the towering ArcelorMittal Orbit by Anish Kapoor for the London Olympic and Paralympic Games, which measures a whopping 377 feet tall, and the diminutive Carson by Tomoaki Suzuki for the High Line in New York. Its height of two feet is equally impressive. From the monumental to the minute, see the digital translation of “Taking It All In” here.
