Vola Sink Fittings by Arne Jacobsen Celebrate 50 Years
Revolution was de rigueur in 1968. That’s when Arne Jacobsen got a call from Verner Overgaard, who had an unprecedented idea: a faucet designed to hide all mechanical parts, leaving only the spout and handle exposed. Eventually cataloged as HV1, the fitting was Overgaard’s launch pad for Vola. Jacobsen’s design has endured, continuously specified and produced for 50 years, with only minor technical updates. It’s kept pace with evolving tastes through incremental additions to the finish range, most notably 14 vibrant colors, even pink. This year, eight metallics join the roster, including black chrome, copper, gold, and nickel. Through Hastings Tile & Bath.
