Every table in Kaichuan Wang’s Dovetail trio celebrates—rather than conceals—its elegant joinery, a technique with origins in the ancient East. Slender ash uprights support solid walnut surfaces (cherry is also available). No nails or screws were used in the making of the Chinese-born, New York–based designer’s zigzag end table/nightstand, rectangular coffee table, or tripod console.
