Brooklyn Museum Celebrates 75 Years of Judy Chicago
“Chicago in L.A.: Judy Chicago’s Early Work 1963-74” is a 75th-birthday present to the artist from New York’s Brooklyn Museum, which has her installation The Dinner Party on long-term display. Opening April 4 and going through September 28, the 55-piece show features such pieces as Rainbow Picket, in painted canvas on plywood frames, and a photograph of her installation Dry Ice Environment, both from the first decade of Chicago’s career, when she lived in California.
