Luxury home appliance brand Gaggenau has opened a showroom at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. Designed by German architecture firm Einszu33, the flagship reflects Chicago’s rich architectural history by channeling Miesian principles. Natural light cascades through a wall of glass into a free-flowing open plan where the brand’s rectangular countertops take center stage.

The space seeks to inspire and invigorate visitors by providing a firsthand look at the multitude of culinary solutions the brand offers. Smooth white marble, white oiled oak, travertine, and ceramic tiles come together with dark anthracite, metal accents, and the brand’s signature gray to create an immersive experience.
