ICFF Warm Up: 20 Snaps at Collective and Frieze
Here’s a taste of the oustanding art and design that filled New York last weekend. Kicking off the month-long NYCxDESIGN festival, the second edition of Collective Design Fair drew a record-breaking 8,000 visitors to the Skylight at Moynihan Station from May 8-11. Of the fair’s 36 exhibitors, 17 were new to Collective and included significantly more international offerings than last year. Timed to preceed the hundreds of attendees and exhibitors flocking to the International Contemporary Furniture Fair from May 17-20, Collective 2 overlapped with the third edition of Frieze New York on Randall’s Island, where 192 galleries from 28 different territories attracted approximately 40,000 collectors and curators from around the world—tickets actually sold out over the weekend.
