Joynout Introduces X-Shape Seat

Daydream by Assaf Israel is designed for mental and physical relaxation. Photography by Aviel Abudraham.

Shuttling between offices in Tel Aviv and Milan, Joynout founder Assaf Israel certainly experiences his share of travel time. Inspired perhaps by those inevitable in-between moments, he conjured up Daydream, which enables unexpected ways of lounging and relaxed interaction. A pair of identical panels, flat-packed for shipping, interlock to form an X-shape seat roomy enough for two. Each panel’s birch-plywood core is padded in foam, then covered in one of 10 colors of Kvadrat’s Steelcut Trio wool-nylon. For the removable headrest, choose from an equal number of the company’s Scuba polyurethane fabrics.
