Louis Benech Debuts Outdoor Collection for Royal Botania

Royal Botania has collaborated with renowned French landscape designer Louis Benech to produce Nara, the first collection for the Belgian brand’s Black Label series. The outdoor furnishings line, available in limited quantities this summer, merges a contemporary aesthetic with historical Japanese elegance through the use of solid, weighty teak with wind-resistant qualities.

Named after the Japanese city and prefecture rich in Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines, Nara was conceived with “the solidity of a fence and the grace of Japanese toriis,” says Benech, who has designed over 300 luxury outdoor spaces spanning Morocco, Greece and France. The collection, which debuted at Salone del Mobile, comprises eight pieces, including a three-legged chair, a dining table partially surfaced in ceramic, and a wheeled sun lounger.
