McLaren and Forza Dare You to Drive at Home
What to do if your business relies on in-person test drives to sell $2 million cars and there’s a pandemic? Like many searching for answers, McLaren benefited from looking to children for the answer. The result is a collaboration with video game franchise Forza to make possible at-home test drives of its latest Speedtail model.
The series of simulated racing video games seeks to emulate the performance and handling characteristics of real-life cars. The newest version, Forza Horizon 4, features nearly every McLaren car, including the recently added Speedtail.
And the brand’s Drive at Home initiative—#DriveatHome—invites gamers to share their ultimate McLaren snaps from Forza Horizon 4. McLaren will post weekly Drive at Home highlights on social media, with in-game images every Sunday. Available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Microsoft Windows, the collaboration will allow you to stay on the road while staying safe.
