Milan Report: Angelo Mangiarotti Retrospective
One standout exhibit during Design Week in Milan is the Angelo Mangiarotti restrospective at the Galleria Carla Sozzani. The exhibit, which runs through April 28th, features myriad works from Mangiarotti, who was influential in design and architecture in the 20th Century.
Mangiarotti, whose career spanned more than six decades, had spent the years prior to his death in 2012 focused on sculpture and some of his works are on display at the exhibit. (Above, one of Mangiarotti’s marble sculptures on display at the gallery.) Along with his drawings, study models and design objects, the Galleria also includes photos and archival films from Studio Mangiarotti in Milan.
