Mohawk Gets Fierce at Fashion Week
As if we needed another reason to get excited for this year’s
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week
in New York, the
Mohawk Group
made its runway debut at CZAR by Cesar Galindo’s Spring 2013 show last week. The industry leader carpeted the runway with new selections from its State of Mind collection, using the opportunity to unveil its Amused and Enthralled patterns.
“Like the fashion world, the Mohawk Group constantly seeks new ways to challenge flooring design convention with innovative, unique styles that reflect today’s social trends,” says Chris Stulpin, director of design and development, Mohawk Group. “We’re proud to partner with trendsetters like Cesar Galindo at Fashion Week to celebrate great design and the world that inspires it.”
Galindo’s sophisticated dresses in muted brights and cool silvers play off the trend toward color gradation, an aesthetic equally integral to Amused and Enthralled. State of Mind was also created with coordination in mind, allowing for a progression of colorways and a layering of pattern. Viewed together, CZAR by Cesar Galindo and State of Mind turned some heads – and perhaps will go on to inspire fashion and interior designers alike to experiment with shifting color and overlapping industries.
