New Blanco Sink Combines ADA Compliance and Luxury Aesthetics

By their very nature, kitchens are complicated spaces to design. They contain plumbing and electric systems that need to be accounted for and aren’t found elsewhere in the residence. And since kitchens are frequently regarded as the “heart of the home,” they must embody excellent aesthetics. It’s a daunting task—and one that designers take seriously.

Kitchen design gets even more complicated when ADA compliance standards are thrown into the mix. For instance, when accounting for clients who will need an ADA-friendly space, designers must place the kitchen sink no lower than 28″ off the ground and no higher than 34″. The sink must be unobstructed and no deeper than 5.5″. The counter can be no more than 1.5″ thick. These requirements are rigorous but necessary for a client to live in home that supports bodily autonomy and enjoyment of the space.

Blanco’s PRECIS ADA Single bowl embodies the ethics of ADA compliant design with on-trend aesthetics. The sink measures 25″ wide and with a 5-3/8″ outside bowl depth and a 5″ inside bowl depth, meeting the demands of this complicated code, and sports a sleek, minimal square shape. The bowl is made of SILGRANIT material, meaning it will effectively resist chips, stains, and heat. Eight on-trend colors accommodate a wide range of palettes. Add-ons like a bottom grid that snugly fit into the sink enhance the functionality of the PRECIS ADA Single bowl.

It’s all about smart design and Blanco proves that this newest addition to their full collection of ADA Compliant sinks has that quality in spades.
