New Installment in Wanted Design Series Comes to ICFF

Wanted Design ICFF

Wanted Design

, the program of designer panels, project previews, and comfy hang-out spaces that took over a portion of Chelsea’s Terminal Stores in spring of 2011, will be returning again for the duration of this year’s

International Contemporary Furniture Fair

. From May 19-21, the space will play host to a series of events that act (as its creators describe them) “as a platform to bring together international designers, architects, interior designers, craftsmen, editors,” and more. The 2012 line-up will include a pop-up shop by designer product purveyor

. To accommodate the augmented events schedule, Wanted will be moving into a spacious 22,000-square-foot space within the old Terminal facility, a network bare brick walls and dark passages named “The Tunnel.” A

Ligne Roset

-supported itinerary of public conversations will be rolling out as well, with speakers yet to be named; of special interest to designers, an exhibition, called “The Next Generation of Designers,” will feature the winners of a currently underway competition sponsored by

Dwell

and

Design Within Reach

.
