New Product: PureBond Classic Core

Columbia Forest Products introduces PureBond Classic Core, a family of engineered hardwood products recommended for use where tight tolerances are required. All three PureBond products are assembled with Columbia’s soy based, urea formaldehyde-free technology and a void-less MDF cross-band which enhances the consistency of thickness tolerances, producing a smoother panel. The collection includes: Classic Core panels, which meet the HPVA thickness tolerance of +0/-3/64”,  weigh less than composite core and  conforms to CARB Phase 2 emission requirements; J Classic Core core, which is pre-sanded before the veneers are applied, has a thin MDF cross-band with an overall increased volume of veneer inner-ply, weighs less than Classic Core and is usable by contractors who need tighter tolerances; and Classic Lam, which provides the same engineering without the decorative wood veneer overlay, allowing for custom finishes and veneers.
