R & Company has come a long way since humble beginnings in Brooklyn. With plans for the beloved gallery of historical and contemporary collectible design to celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, owners Zesty Meyers and Evan Snyderman also announced they will open a brand-new storefront to operate alongside its current space in TriBeCa. Slated for completion this spring, the 1869 cast-iron building at 64 White Street recently underwent a renovation by Kulapat Yantrasast and Andrija Stojic of wHY. Inside, an 8,000-square-foot gallery showcases a skylit atrium that floods each of the three floors, linked by a monumental marble staircase, with sunshine. Along with an academic research center and library, permanent installations by artists Rogan Gregory, Jeff Zimmerman, and Katie Stout will grace exhibition spaces throughout.
