To start off the week, Interior Design managing editor Helene Oberman, joined by Interface VP of global design, Kari Pei, and Lisa Conway, VP of sustainability, walked viewers through the brand’s latest collection: Embodied Beauty. Pei and Conway shared how the Interface team harnesses carbon to create products that go beyond being carbon neutral to being carbon negative—in efforts to restore the health of the planet.

Interior Design executive editor Jen Renzi sat in the moderator’s seat for Wednesday’s roundtable about the innovative changes coming to commercial design to ensure both safety and beauty. Joining Renzi, a wide panel of industry experts—including Jen Ruckel, VP of sales for translucent material manufacturer 3form; Sascha Wagner, president of Huntsman Architectural Group and the IIDA; Kimberly O’Dowd, director of projects at Blitz; and Meena Krenek, an interior design director and principal at Perkins and Will—shared their favorite strategies and solutions, and offered insights into designing with longevity in mind rather than implementing temporary solutions.

Interior Design Editor in Chief Cindy Allen and NKBA EVP and chief strategy officer Suzie Williford reunited for the eighth installment of NKBA Live. During the discussion, Allen and Williford were joined by three of NKBA’s 30 Under 30 winners: Malyka Abramson, an industrial designer at Delta Faucet, Abigail Latham, a designer at Beyond Interior Design, and Katelyn Woods, an interior designer at Kendall Ansell Interiors. Each 30 Under 30 designer will have their own booth at this year’s virtual KBIS show, so keep an eye out for their displays.
