Tinker & Taylor for Selfridges
Display by Tinker & Taylor.
Reuse is foremost in the minds of artists and designers Adam Towner and Ricky Rosewarne, who work under the label Tinker & Taylor. The pair scoured vintage stores to recreate the objects and furniture from their studio that trigger inspiration for their recent window installation at
Selfridges
department store in London.
“The desk was made from an office filing cabinet we coated in gradient blues, a set of drawers with beautiful metal work handles, and a wood top we covered in leather,” says Rosewarne. “The side cabinet was made from a set of metal school lockers we turned on its side and attached legs from a 1950’s coffee table.” The team has plans to use these items as prototypes for pieces to be put in future production. That’s what we call resourceful.
