Papuk Introduces an Elevated Cat Tree
Syrian-Canadian designer Vazken Karageozian founded Papuk (the brand’s name is Armenian for “fluffy”) to create feline-friendly elements that suit contemporary interiors; “striving for inter-species happiness,” is the Toronto company’s tagline. Its inaugural product, Connect, is a modular, personalizable cat tree pairing solid-ash dowels with ash-veneered plywood shelves—a decided departure from the usual bulky structures cat moms and dads typically live with. You can attached an upholstered cushion for a soft perch via leather straps, as well as a dangling toy that’s affixable to any top corner. The cat, of course, goes whenever it pleases.
