Kettal Marks 60 Years of Design Innovation

For six decades, the Spanish furniture brand founded by the late Manuel Alorda (and now led by his son Alex Alorda) has worked with some of the most respected names in design: Patricia Urquiola, Vico Magistretti, Antonio Citterio, and the list goes on. To commemorate its 60th, Kettal presents a photographic series highlighting nine of its iconic designs (alongside posed models) in color-saturated contemporary settings. That innovation continues with 2026 introductions like Urquiola’s Grosso, an all-foam sofa resembling a chic assembly of floor pillows, and Foster + Partners Industrial Design’s Area, a collaborative workplace table system with integrated power and lighting. Another recent standout is the evolution of the Eames Pavilion System. The modular, prefabricated kit-of-parts created by the Eames Office in partnership with the Barcelona-based manufacturer adapts Charles and Ray Eames’s midcentury color-blocked steel-frame design into functional hubs for workspaces. kettal.com
