Soften Sounds With This Innovative Curtain System  

The acoustics-product arm of Danish textile giant Kvadrat launches a new collaboration with Foster + Partners Industrial Design at Fulton Market. Waves is a rippling, sound-dampening curtain system that slides along a flexible track to carve out hushed space within open-plan environments—providing a 12- to 15-decibel noise reduction. Depending on performance needs, the product can be specified with one or two sound-reducing inner layers; choose from seven Kvadrat textiles including Steelcut Trio 3, Remix Flow, or the just-launched Inner Sight. A patented tape hook system controls the rhythm and alignment of the fabrics, and a newly developed rail enables smooth operation in straight or curved configurations.
