Muller Van Severen’s Sculptural Silhouettes Go Mini
At Milan Design Week, “Silhouettes: Celebrating 15 Years” presented enormous, human-size aluminum candleholders—one for each year Muller Van Severen has been in practice. Their colorful metal forms, each one unique, abstracted recurring shapes from the Belgian design studio’s oeuvre of sculptural furniture. To accompany the exhibition, BD Barcelona in collaboration with Apartamento miniaturized four of the candleholders for tabletop use. Crafted from raw aluminum, Silhouettes in rectangular, triangular, radius, and L shapes make the perfect keepsake of Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen’s world, either singly or together. bdbarcelona.com; mullervanseveren.be
