This Clothing Brand’s Showroom is Always in Bloom
For a flagship showroom of a clothing brand in Moscow, JL Interior Design Studio turned to nature for inspiration. “The philosophy behind LaTrika is based on the unity of soul, mind and body and harmony with the surroundings,” says studio founder Jenya Lykasova. “We wanted to convey the brand’s vision and mission in the interior, so the concept of a calm and ‘organic’ space was born.”
Walking into the light-filled space, guests confront an installation made of wood, greenery and stone, also visible from the street, which is meant to serve as a portal into the brand’s world. A moon-shaped lighting fixture hands above, casting a subtle glow among the gray and beige walls, furnishings and floor. Stone wall coverings add yet another element of texture and visual intrigue, creating a backdrop that allows the minimalist clothing racks—and the fashionable items displayed on them—to double as art pieces.

Meanwhile, the dressing rooms are tucked away behind the green composition at the store’s center, complete with a wood-trimmed podium and greenery-framed mirror, enabling guests to imagine modeling their latest outfit at a riverside dock.
And like many top restaurants, LaTrika spotlights the bounty of each season. “We were finishing the project implementation in spring and the Irgi tree that we bought bloomed in the most unusually beautiful way,” adds Lykasova. At the time of the project’s completion, strawberry season had arrived and the team, as well as landscape designers from Art Garden studio, incorporated several wild strawberry plants into the moss. “The strawberry flowers turned into berries after a while and visitors were amazed not only that there is a tree in the interior, but also that they can see real berries in the moss,” she continues. “Anyone who comes in here realizes it’s a place of peace and unity with nature in a noisy metropolis.”
