Salone Del Mobile.Milano Expands Global Reach With Art Basel Partnership
Salone del Mobile.Milano is at it again. The prestigious design showcase recently announced a three-year partnership with Art Basel Miami Beach and Art Basel Hong Kong, further solidifying its international presence by teaming up with the renowned contemporary art fair.
The move aligns with Salone del Mobile.Milano’s mission to expand the reach of Italian design through innovative programming and partnerships in hubs around the world; first with New York, Shanghai and Hong Kong in 2024, followed by Expo Osaka 2025 and, most recently, Saudi Arabia.
Serving as a physical manifestation of Salone del Mobile.Milano’s new partnership, the Collectors Lounge—open to VIP collectors, curators and gallerists at Art Basal Miami Beach December 3-7, 2025 and appearing at Art Basal Hong Kong in March—offers a rich showcase of Italian design. Designed by Lissoni & Partners (helmed by Interior Design Hall of Famer Piero Lissoni) and curated in partnership with Italian brands including Artemide, Emu, Foscarini, Living Divani, Molteni&C, Paola Lenti, Poltrona Frau, and Porro to name a few, the lounge features soft lighting and tropical greenery, firmly placing visitors in the Miami locale.
Salone Del Mobile.Milano Enters Its Next Chapter
“Our inaugural presence at Art Basel Miami Beach 2025, represents a natural and strategic evolution of the international trajectory that the Salone is tracing to expand opportunities for relations between Italian design and new global audiences with a high cultural involvement,” says Maria Porro, president of the Salone del Mobile.Milano. “Our role, today more than ever, is to anticipate the changes shaping the international market and to create the conditions for Italian companies to engage with new worlds, where art, design and cultural investments all come together. The partnership with Art Basel Miami Beach and Art Basel Hong Kong marks a decisive step in this direction.”

The partnership and Collectors Lounge amplifies the global visibility of Italian design brands, centering design as a cultural asset, Porro continues. “This perspective finds further resonance in the dialogue with a figure like Es Devlin, whom we meet again in Miami. Her research—at the crossroads of art, light and collective imagination—last April lit up the 63rd edition of the Salone del Mobile in Milan with the imaginative ‘Library of Light’, a compass of the mind by which the Salone paid homage to the city, in collaboration with the Pinacoteca di Brera.”
Salone del Mobile.Milano’s Collectors Lounge at Art Basel Miami Beach and the upcoming Hong Kong show hint at the 2026 edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano in Italy, which includes EuroCucina, FTK/Technology for the Kitchen and the International Bathroom Exhibition. Stay tuned for more information on the show this spring.
